Welcome to Pontypridd
Pontypridd is a market town in Rhondda Cynon Taf , 12 miles outside of Cardiff. Known for the Old Bridge, a stone bridge across the River Taff built in 1756 by William Edwards. The bridge was at the time of its construction the longest single-span stone arch bridge in the world.
Pontypridd continues to be popular with professional and family contract holders looking for more of a quiet life, as well as being attractive to students because of its fantastic transport links to Cardiff. The Welsh capital is only 20 minutes away by train.
It has a friendly close-knit atmosphere and is surrounded by green rolling hills – just what you would expect from the Valleys. Pontypridd has been home to many iconic stars such as Sir Tom Jones, Chris Slade of AC/DC and many Welsh International Rugby Players.
