Welcome to Pontypridd

Pontypridd is a market town in Rhondda Cynon Taf , 12 miles outside of Cardiff.  Known for the Old Bridge, a stone bridge across the River Taff built in 1756 by William Edwards.  The bridge was at the time of its construction the longest single-span stone arch bridge in the world.

Pontypridd continues to be popular with professional and family contract holders looking for more of a quiet life, as well as being attractive to students because of its fantastic transport links to Cardiff. The Welsh capital is only 20 minutes away by train.

It has a friendly close-knit atmosphere and is surrounded by green rolling hills – just what you would expect from the Valleys. Pontypridd has been home to many iconic stars such as Sir Tom Jones, Chris Slade of AC/DC and many Welsh International Rugby Players. With fantastic scenery across the South Wales Valleys and easy links to Cardiff City Centre, this area is popular with those who want to dip in and out of city life and have the best of both worlds.
