Pinnacle was set up in 1997 by Wyn Griffiths, a Cardiff University graduate who realised how difficult it was to find student rental properties in the city. At the time (and we do know it was a long time ago!) the only way to find a property was to look for an advert in a shop window as there were no specialised student letting agents. All tenants dealt with landlords directly and there was very little in the way of residential standards, which meant the properties were often of poor quality.
Starting with a handful of properties, Wyn worked with landlords to improve the quality of properties in the Cathays/ Roath areas and took on their management. It meant tenants had a single point of contact for their housing needs and landlords had an experienced partner to help them grow their property portfolios. This was the beginning of student letting agents in Cardiff. Pinnacle has always been a driving force behind developing the market, raising standards within the industry and subsequently has grown to be one of the largest letting agencies in South Wales and the oldest student focused letting agent in Cardiff.
These days Pinnacle also offers a wide range of flats for professionals as well as students. We have properties across Cardiff, Newport and Pontypridd and use our local knowledge to help match tenants to properties that suit their individual needs. Landlords can expect up-to-date help and advice on every aspect of letting and managing their properties.
More recently, we’ve moved into the serviced accommodation market, providing short term rental properties for those looking for a weekend break or those needing short term and more flexible accommodation contracts.
After 25 years in the industry, we want to use our knowledge and experience to take the lettings experience to a new level. We aim to change the future of student accommodation for the better while continuing to improve the quality of general accommodation services across the region.
